-Before we begin checking and adjusting our patients, the doctor will sit down with you briefly to review everything we found on the first visit, making sure every patient is educated about their body and their health so they can empower themselves to be their own health advocate.
This includes but is not limited to:
1. Where the root cause of dysfunction is stemming from
2. How long has this problem been there for
3. Other areas that may not be expressing symptoms but are showing signs of potential future issues
4. How the structure of your spine may be affecting the problem area
5. How your nervous system is expressing its ability to handle the demand of your lifestyle
6. A detailed plan of where our doctors will prioritize the major spinal issues and what are secondary issues we may address
7. A recommendation of how long and how many visits it will take to achieve your short term goals
8. Home care instructions to optimize your care in our office
9. A plan for a re-exam to ensure our team of doctors are achieving the results they set out for.
The first adjustment will occur after the review of findings.
The doctor will perform the Gonstead Analysis already experienced on their first visit. This is done on every visit to ensure the utmost specificity and proper care administered for the individual patient on that day. The Gonstead system will ensure you don’t get “the same exact thing” every time, as our doctors check to see where your body is not properly adapting THAT VISIT!
In order for a segment to be adjusted, it needs to fit the criteria of an instrument reading, swelling, decreased range of motion, and cause of interference to the communication between nervous system. This will usually cause only 1-2 areas to be adjusted, and precision in which segment, in which direction creates the most gentle and significant change possible from a chiropractic adjustment.
Every adjustment is done manually by our highly trained doctors, as they deliver the most precise and gentle adjustment possible to remove the vertebral subluxation.
As it is common to see relief from the very first adjustment by pinpointing the locations causing the most neurologic dysfunction in your body, it is important to note these issues have been accumulating over time, and our doctors on your second visit will discuss the estimated time frame the issue has been there, and how long it will take to heal.
